As many people have noted, Roy has tested positive for anabolic steroids, which he blamed on the supplement rippedfuel, which is nonsense of course. Over the counter weightloss supplements do not contain large amounts of testosterone.

The reason Roy is so whistful about that fight is, its the first fight where he probably wasn't juicing. Roy had very very strong connections to the Balco players, which is where he probably got the steroids he tested for.

And the Tarver fight is his first fight after Balco got busted. First fight where Roy looks far more normal and not juiced out of his mind.
