    Same day weigh ins?

    Or

Go back to the old lightweight, welterweight, middleweight etc etc days without all the bulls.h.it, like jnr this or super that.

Damn you're asking for three impossibilities together. Choose one Def. I'd pick regular weight classes. Should've polled this haha

same day weigh ins are not medically safe.

Less weight classes is the solution. They should have about 10-11.

F#ck same day weigh-ins. Weigh-ins the day before add buzz to the fight. Boxing needs all the buzz it can get!

But I agree there are too many divisions. In fact, there are too many everything-- too many belts, too many organizations, too many councils, too many athletic commissions...

UFC doesn't put fights people want to see on either. Dana White keeps saying that Mayweather vs Pac needs to happen... yet he doesn't make GSP fight Anderson Silva or Anderson Silva vs Jon Jones. They had an interview with all of them and instead of the fighters talking about it Dana was the one answering the questions. UFC doesn't care about their fighters or whats good for their sport either just like Arum... that's why there is so many steroid users that were/are UFC stars and you never heard about it. He also kept Tito Ortiz away from Chuck Liddell for as long as possible. Dana is just like Arum! How the **** does someone pop for PED's and then he becomes a star... oh it's a white guy(Chael Sonnen) in the UFC that explains it. UFC also puts PPV's together that shouldn't be PPV's... just like Chavez Jr. fighting bums on PPV. Fertitta knows how boxing works that's why UFC is big and the fighters still get chump change.

I think same day weigh-ins and make them only 4 hrs from fight time... if you fail to make weight you will be suspended and fined... the opponent has final say on if the fight continues but if he does you forfeit a % of your purse. If you fail to make weight twice in a row or more than 3 times total you get an indefinite suspension. They should be watched by a commission appointed person and not be allowed IV's to re-hydrate during those 4hrs. from fight time. They also need to make a U.S. boxing organization since most of the big fights happen in the U.S. This organization will have real rankings and pursue mandatories no matter what... unless it's a unification fight against a champ who's defended his title atleast 3 times. If a title gets vacated then the only way to gain this vacated title is for the #1 and #2 guys to fight each other and nothing less. If a boxer is a champion in a lower weight class and vacates his former title/titles then he becomes ranked no higher than 5th in the next division and should have to prove himself at that division and not just skip to a championship fight. Too many guys earn a title shot and don't get it because of popularity and that's bull****!

And why are same day weigh ins not medically safe? How is dehydrating to make a certain weight safer than fighting at your natural weight? Do you think a guy having to move up more in weight and have to worry about guys being ridiculously bigger safer? Yeah lets let a 135lb guy who weighs 140lbs fight night have to move up to fight a guy at 147lb limit who weighs 160 fight night... that's so much safer than having to fight a guy who's legitly your size!

                  Same Day Weigh In!

Fighters will have to work harder and maybe try to stay in shape YEAR AROUND instead of ballooning up to 200lbs then killing yourself to make 160 within 3 months or so

it's real simple when you fight dehydrated your brain is dehydrated. When you take punishment to the head while dehydrated it dramatically increases the chances of brain damage. That is a lot more dangerous then fighting a guy who's 10-20 pounds bigger than you (look at heavyweights and cruiserweights they do it all the time).

This is why less weight classes is the answer. Do you think we really need a 115 pound weight class and a 118 pound weight class? Is it really that big of a difference? Nope. Or 122 to 126? 105 to 108? It's unnecessary, there are way too many classes. How many weight classes are in UFC? How many weight classes did boxing used to have? We don't need 16 damn weight classes
