IMO fight night weights are the least of the problems in boxing.

But then someone like Chavez Jnr who was extreamly weight drained against Andy Lee @ 160lbs could potentially die in the ring from the punches AND lose because they cant take a punch due to dehydration.

I know what you are going to say next,

"well he should be fighting at 168lbs or 175lbs?"

You'll get a high chance of deaths because some fighters wont be in the proper weight categories due to dehydration. They simply WONT know what division to fight in.

        I kinda agree.

It'd be perfect in a world where everyone stays in shape, and knows what their walking around weight is.

Correct me if im mistaken, but I believe the IBF order same day weigh-ins prior to fights, or championship fights at least

If you croak from weight draining then it's your own damn fault. Don't be ****** and you won't die.....simple as.

Nobody forces them to dehydrate. If they're dumb enough to risk their health it's their choice and they should be the only ones to blame for the consequences.

Same day weigh ins would make the most sense and be the fairest solution. If a guy can't make the weight through hardwork, then let him pay the penalty of coming in to the fight sloshing a stomach full of water around and cramp up by round 2.

I think Glove Sizes need to be changed, I don't think 154lbs fighters and Heavyweights should be wearing the same ounce gloves

They also risk doing permanent damage to an opponent coming in 2 and 3 weight classes above the weight limit come fight time. Either way there is going to be risks, but with same day weigh ins we'd at least be protecting the integrity of the weight division instead of making a farce of it.
