It's not about cowardice, it's about $$$. A rematch against Dirrell wouldn't generate a lot of money, Froch would probably vacate and go after the Kesslers and Pavliks.

thats messed up on bikas part. now bcuz he pulled this stunt whoever takes this fight wont get a full training camp. i think dirrell will be persuaded to decline, stevenson is too dangerous to take on relatively short notice. even though there are so many solid contenders at 168 stevenson will probably end up fighting some scrub.

After the exposure that Dirrell got from the Super 6, there's no way in hell that he'd take a fight like this on such short notice.

Plus, he's gotta get medical clearance from Dr. Shaw before he can fight again.

You can't really blame these fighters for not wanting stiff challenges to get to the top. It's not fair to 90% of fighters, the business of boxing. I mean Dirrel was a super 6 contestant. He fought 2 of the top fighters in his division.

There are champs running around right now that haven't done that. Now he's offered a fight with Adonis?? That dude is a beast. But he has to take it, to prove himself. I wish fans were brave enough to help me set up a rally against cherrypicking.

That exposure is dying out fast. He needs to stay relevant and get back in the mix in style. What better way than to take out a top contender and make himself mandatory for a major title? On the Pascal/Cloud undercard to boot.

I could maybe see it from that point of view. I took it as he wouldn't rematch Dirrell because he thought he may lose. Froch versus Pavlik would be a great fight.

Hopefully Dirrell does...Adonis isn't getting any younger, and Dirrell has been through too much controversy...negative controversy at that. He needs to be involved in a tough visible fight to rebuild...it would be a good test for both.

Froch is a star at home. Any fight he takes is going to generate money at this point...especially after a Kessler/Ward rematch, and/or a Pavlik fight...win or lose, He will sell for the remainder of his career.

But a Dirrell rematch would have to take place in the US. It's only fair since the first fight was in the UK.
