Super middleweight contender Andre Dirrell (20-1, 14KOs) has until July 3rd to accept the IBF's invitation to face Adonis Stevenson (18-1, 15KOs) in a world title eliminator. Several fighters have already declined. The most recent refusal came from Sakio Bika (30-5-2, 21KOs), who actually accepted the IBF's invitation and is going to suffer some consequences for walking away from the fight.

Bika pulled out? Damn I was looking forward to this fight. Dirrell/Stevenson is also an interesting matchup, a great opportunity for Dre to get back in the mix. If he becomes mandatory Froch won't give him a rematch though.

Dirrell is the biggest waste of talent that I can think of, his mind is like that of a small child, confidence-wise. People gave me a hard time for hating on him after the AA fight but look what he has done since, absolutely nothing. He won't fight this dude, he has had one scrub fight in 3 years which isn't enough for him to feel confident against a guy capable of casting a shadow of doubt.

Dirrell should retire from the sport honestly, his momentum died off a long time ago and the ring rust will be the end of him at this point.

I bet he would. Froch is not that good IMO but one thing he isn't is a coward. He would gladly take a rematch to prove some sort of a point, I could virtually guarantee that.

Damn Bika vs Stevenson would have been some fight. Stevenson's power vs Bika's awkwardness and chin. Dirrell could stink the fight out, but I think he'd beat Stevenson unless he gets caught.
