Danny came in with too much weight. He looked out of shape. He also needs to change trainer. Never have been a fan of Jimmy Mcdonnel.

From the BBC website, it also seems Danny did all the fitness and training work himself. It showed during the match.

      DANNY TRAINS HIMSELF

All Wiiliams did was put himself in a position for a fight in the states. This victory does not get him a world title fight ( well, it shouldn't anyhow ) but it could get him a fight that could earn him a potentail big fight. Don King's heavyweight tournment coming up though, it wouldn't be a bad idea for Danny to sign with DKP!

Dude, after beating Harrison he basically has no competition as far as his limited belts go.

This means that he has to fight someone a notch higher than Harrison, and because the division is weak compared to many of the others, his step up would be to go to America and get another BIG fight.... There is no middle ground.

Oh, incidentally, Williams said he plans to fight Matt Skelton next. Skelton might win that as Danny is clearly past his belt, but Skelton's got Danny's old British belt around his waist. (He showboated it away to Michael Sprott, who then got beat by Skelton in his first defence).

Skelton is a high risk, low reward type of fight. If Danny were to win he'd only get to claim best British heavyweight and that unfortunately doesn't mean much. If i were him, i'd move state side and try or a fight with a top 15 American who is on the slide. Why fight Skelton? Sure it would look good in the UK but where else?
