I could see him beating Cotto but Floyd will pick him apart now. When he was at his peak the wildcard in that fight was Pacquiao's relentless nature but now that he fights in spurts he is open to getting picked a part when he is doing nothing and laughed at when he tries for a late flurry.

The Manny who had just beaten Cotto....that Manny in 2008/9 I think could have given Mayweather hell. Mayweather was shook up, there is no doubt and didn't want anything to do with Pac then.
But this current version of Pacquiao gets schooled by Mayweather and I'm not sure about Cotto.

off topic - but I'm a believer Pacman was using gear back in those days and i believe he isn't now ,so it's hard to really know how he would do against Cotto.

You answered really intelligently. I did see the power this time around. That would keep Cotto at bay. The cotto that went to the body against Floyd. uses he size to man handle Manny. If his body punch is as effective as in the Floyd fight I see him stopping Manny. How can many beat Floyd bc inside or outside i don't see it. I see Floyd timing Manny and countering him to death like Hatton.

Cotto wasn't close to stopping Manny, nor will he at 154 I feel. In fact keeping Manny in range would be the worse thing to do because Manny has a lot of power and if you let him land on you too often, it can be very dangerous.

Pac loses to Mayweather. Pac perhaps in 2009 had more speed and stamina than the one now which was why it was close back then. However May is a lot more active now and is in better form, like the breaks have helped him.

I actually never thought he would beat Mayweather but i think Mayweather would win 8-4 or maybe 7-5 style decision. It wouldn't be as easy as everyone keeps saying thats for sure.

I still favored Mayweather to win back then however now I believe it'd be child's play. Regardless of whether you think he was on shakes or not back in 09 he was relentless whilst I think that'd play into Mayweather's advantage I think it is in fighters best interest not to give Mayweather any time to think.

The way how Pacquiao fights now would allow Mayweather to control too much of the rounds as he doesn't allow fighters to stand around doing nothing, he will pot shot them and establish his dominance.
