The problem is they are not true. How do I know? Because these are the same numbers that Bob Arum floated and he always lies about the numbers. Pac/Mosley did not sell 1.3 millon; Pac/Marquez III did not sell 1.4 million and this fight did not sell 950,000. It amazes me that Bob Arum can throw a number out there and the media believe every word he says, even though he has a long history of lying and bribing.

nice try, but you dont count dlh's drawing power into floyd's ppv.

you go by when they were both a side fighters to measure their drawing power.

floyd became a legitimate ppv star 17 months before manny, and has still been outsold by 1.5 million in that time frame. thats nothing to be ashamed of though

i wouldn't doubt it for one minute if the number aren't true. And I'm with you on Pac VS Mosely/Marquez numbers being grossly inflated.

U do release tht even if u take the de la Hoya fight of both of them mayweather still averages over a million every time he fights n PAC doesn't n mayweather is the only fighter 2 do a million plus buys 4 fights in a row

and you must certainly realize that pac has averaged 2.5 million ppvs per year since 09, and floyd has managed 1.38 million per year since 07.

Not manny's fault that floyd needs a long time to hype his fights and search for suitable candidates to stack his undercards.

Besides, even if you subscribe to the idea that ppv sold per fight is the right way to go about it [which it isn't], floyd's ppv per fight sales are only 100k higher than manny's, which doesn't exactly warrant a 40 million flat fee with 0 ppv. Floyd can demand, at most a 53/47 split in his favor. However, on a ppv sold per year basis, manny could demand higher than 60%.

Regardless of how you look at it, 40 million with 0 ppv is a clear, blatant duck.

i dont think manny should agree to 40million i think they should do 50/50 or 60/40 2 the winner and give the fans what they want. That doesnt change the fact against common fighters mayweather does better than pac on gate and ppv sales (other than marquez who pac did better against). The problem is whoever you like more out of mayweather/pac u will find away 2 make the information look better 4 them e.g. u putting the numbers on yearly average with mayweather only fighting once a year.

Im a fan of both (been 2 mayweather/hatton mayweather/mosley and pacquiao/marquez 3 n i live in england) but tht doesnt change the fact tht the numbers indicate mayweather probably should get a bigger percentage e****ally when u consider 4 his last 2 fights he averaged 42.5million per fight and pac averaged 28million per fight.
