Hoenstly **** the people saying he should have fought through that. How can you say that when most of you have probably never been in that situation?

Yeah and I think we can all agree he checked out against Maidana, which was unacceptable, but you want him to risk further damage, possibly end his career fighting with that?

some ppl are always gonna critisize a fighter for quitting, they are either the toughest guys in the world (other fighters who truly would never quit) or the softest ppl in the world who never stepped foot in the ring in their life and have no clue what its like.

i think ortiz could have continued, but i dont blame him for quitting. a broken jaw isnt something you cant fight with, several fighters fought with broken jaws and there was only 3 rounds left. but even more fighters would do what ortiz did and quit and i never been in that situation myself so i cant say i wouldnt do it myself.

i will say this though, with his history he has damaged his career more by quitting than lopez could ever do in those last 3 rounds. if he kept fighting and got layed out in the next round he wouldve got the credibility back that he lost against maidana, got back against berto and then lost again versus mayweather.

regardless if its fair or not alot of ppl will think the same thing happened here and i dont think his career and the perception of him can ever fully recover from this. justified or not the man had his heart taken in all three of his losses, on three seperate opccassions hes looked for a way out of a fight and its to the point where thats gonna be the first thing ppl think about when they think of ortiz.

that hes of mexican heritage makes it even worse, the ppl that should be his main fanbase will most likely abandon him if they havent already.

You can keep worshipping Victor Ortiz like he's a fearless hero, I choose to rise above him. My heroes alone are 10x the fighter he is.

And my family ****s on your ******ed hobo looking bloodline. Everybody in my family finished college.
Bahahaha i can keep worshiping him and he's my hero?

Lmao i started a thread saying that Ortiz has no heart. All im saying though is compared to a internet warrior like yourself he'll always be a warrior. As wether the man quits in every fight he ever fights again, he still has the balls to step into a ring and fight, unlike your coward self who has the balls to claim he isn't a gladiator behind a computer screen. I'd love to see you try and say that to his face, maybe he isn't a gladiator compared to the other warriors we have seen in Boxing, but who are you to say that. Compared to you he'll always be a gladiator.

Weren't you that kid who quit after falling off your bike?

So much for your "bloodline" you're a quitter. I'm sure your bloodline will show for that.

you can tell he enjoys every bit of media and attention, but having that true warrior mentality thats just not him.

i wish him all the best though
Headbutting Floyd and Hitting Lopez in the back of the head in purpose...yeah, Ortiz is such a nice kid
