that very well could be his last fight. his jaw is going to need to be rebuilt surgically and then heal.

he's not a ballerina, he's a professional boxer. a come forward fighter who boxes like his toes were cut off, no less.

    he's made his money
he's thrice stopped at this point, at 25 years old. he's never improved, so his promoters wont look to rebuild the as if he actually has a future, because let's face it; he doesnt. he was a bust. they thought he was going to be some great fighter. never came close.

entertaining career. maidana, berto, and lopez fights were all terrific.
lots of power. he had big flaws that were never addressed.

He will get beat worse in the rematch. This time Lopez will not be taking the fight on short notice, will have time to get used to the weight, and will have knowledge of Ortiz' fighting style. Ortiz will end up quitting yet again.

Ortiz is a goddamn weirdo, but he always comes back strong. I respect everyone in the treads opinion who thinks he will/he should retire, but Ortiz is not even close to being done with boxing.

I'll co-sign with the TS. The Ortiz that fought Berto shows up in the rematch. Lopez's eye was closed and he was hurting. All the credit in the world for his great win, but he was ready to go any second if Victor had put something together.

I look forward to the rematch, regardless of the winner.

I remember him being cautious against Campbell and that's it.

Victor is the type of guy who will hate himself if he doesn't redeem himself, not only to the fans but to himself. In the rematch with Lopez, expect victor Ortiz to berto him.
He probably will. And if Lopez eats that flury we will be right back where we were on saturday .

The only type of guy Victor Ortiz has ever shown himself to be is someone who has a limit where he does not want to fight anymore.
