Name one fighter who has quit due to a broken jaw.
Oh wait, name two.
LOL, what clowns you guys are who are harping on the "internet warrior" bull****. Do you even watch boxing? No one quits the way Ortiz just quit, NO ONE DOES. You don't have to be a professional boxer to figure that out, just start watching boxing and paying attention.
When he was spitting coagulated blood thought, this cant be good?..so you think he should of kept on going for what?your entertaiment?Comment

I keep seeing this term "Internet tough guy" yet I haven't seen anyone on this forum claim that they would continue in a fight with a broken jaw.
Hell, I can imagine 99% of people on this forum would run as fast as physically possible if Victor Ortiz or Joseito Lopez wanted to have a fight with them. Who wouldn't? They are professional fighters.
I'm struggling to understand where people aren't seeing there's an obvious disconnection between an average joe and a professional fighter and the obvious different standard.
For two million dollars plus medical expenses, you can break my jaw and all ten of my fingers. That doesn't mean I would try to fight Victor Ortiz for free.
Look at it this way... Take any "internet warrior" from boxing scene. Break their jaw. Put them in a ring with a guy who is smaller, weaker, and has less training and experience. Can they go three rounds with him for a prize of $2M? It's so ****ing ****** to compare Victor Ortiz to random people.Comment

and he catches a lot of flack for that. not to mention those injuries haunted him for the remainder of his career. irregardless of any of that, the fact is that most dont. if can only find one or two who does, then that kinda proves the point.Comment

For the millions of dollars that were on the line.
Why is that hard to figure out? You want to support your family? Suck it up and take it like a man. Yeah it sucks, but so does working 30 years to make the same amount of money slaving away in a real job.
Victor Ortiz seems to think he is going to become an actor or something. He will never have another shot at that kind of money.
By the way, I was much more entertained by Ortiz calling over the referee to quit, by the look on Canelo's face, etc. Watching Ortiz run away for three rounds and get gifted a decision against a guy who fought his heart out would not be my cup of tea.Comment

For all you people saying he should've toughed it out for the remaining rds to get a shot at Canelo, he wasn't gonna get it anyway with that serious an injury
Ortiz is a tough dude no matter what anyone says. Wish him a speedy recoveryComment

Then why ask me to name one? If I couldn't name one you would have said "that proves my point" now that I named one you're saying "that still kinda proves my point" basically you're putting yourself in a win-win situation and you're refusing to be proven wrong.Comment

I have 1 million points that says Lopez doesn't rematch Ortiz immediately and instead goes on to bigger and better things?
Anyone?Comment

I asked you to name a guy who quit because of a broken jaw. You proved my point by naming a guy who quit for hurting his arm or some ****.Comment
