whether he should have continued or not, to me, he still proved hes not elite. put any of the top fighters in the sport in that same position and 10 times outta 10, most of them would have continued. its the truth. ortiz isnt that guy. whether he was justified or not, and i never said he wasnt, thats what separates the elite from the very good. so, no ortiz is still not a warrior. ortiz is ortiz. a very good fighter who lacks the mentality to be great. no matter how u spin it, thats still the case.

I keep seeing this term "Internet tough guy" yet I haven't seen anyone on this forum claim that they would continue in a fight with a broken jaw.

Hell, I can imagine 99% of people on this forum would run as fast as physically possible if Victor Ortiz or Joseito Lopez wanted to have a fight with them. Who wouldn't? They are professional fighters.

I'm struggling to understand where people aren't seeing there's an obvious disconnection between an average joe and a professional fighter and the obvious different standard.

The more I hear about Victor's jaw the more I feel like he made a good decision in stopping the fight.

I was thinking that there's no way he could've faced Alvarez in September if he continued the Lopez fight and won that. I'm not sure that jaw would've been healed enough by then.
