so KING MEAT says he quit before. thanks for that bro. SO HAVE I. some may not like my comments but when i am critical of a fighter it is for a reason. like ortiz when things didn't go my way i looked for a way out' it happens in every way of lifes professions. sports, relationships, everyday situations. when i see it with someone else it pisses me off. especially when the stakes are high. in this case he has to close the show. move around not running but stepping with the oponnent throwing body shots to slow him down. with the decisions we have seen lately he could have got the win from the judges. you can't just quit. NOT AGAIN ? i never want to see a fighter be a loser/chump like I WAS again. his career is done as long as he is there just to get a payday which is common.

before you take the "I would like to see some of you fight with a broken jaw" road...ask yourself, why are you a boxing fan?

we don't honor NORMAL dudes in our sport...its the EXTRAORDINARY dudes who get the praises...this is not some country club or golf crap...we are boxing fans....a broken nose, jaw, cuts, swollen eyes, Rahman lumps...you name it, we see it....we love this brutal art so much that we exchange sour g****s when defending our favorite sweet scientists lol....at the end of the day, we as boxing fans ask and demand more from our athletes than any other sport....so its only natural that Vic is getting slammed by the boxing heads

we love a sport where the man who takes not one punch or delivers a single blow gets paid more than the dudes who does...so quit the moral bs about dudes not being boxers and not having the right to voice their opinions

Not only is the pain unbearable but the slightest tap on the jaw is extruciating. Not to mention your mouth fills with blood and you swallow plenty of it. It's easy to trash the guy while sitting on your couch.

when they show footage of the corner at the time of the stoppage, when ortiz is explaining to the ref what is wrong you can hear his trainer danny garcia telling him to be quiet/shut up in spanish. at least that's what i thought he was saying. such a disappointing ending by ortiz in a fight where he was really entertaining and imo was winning by a round or two. only way he can redeem himself is by rematching lopez and looking spectacular in it. otherwise i think his days at being at the top level are over.

Victor Ortiz forgot his cojones in the dressing room...Muhammad Ali fought an entire 15 round fight with Ken Norton with a broken jaw, Norton broke it in the first round but then again there's no comparison there. Victor " not so vicious " Ortiz got spanked from the beginning of the fight, Josesito showed a big heart from the start. Glad Josesito took it to him and ruining his plans.....no kiss for Josesito Ortiz ??

lol Garcia was like "**** there goes my Canelo pay day". That last shot Lopez landed was brutal... right on the button. Ortiz has the right to call it off, but he can't be mad when people doubt and criticize him - that comes with the action. But you see, Ortiz will be great/top P4P and this is why.

Remember Hopkins , did yall say the same for him when he QUIT ?

How bout RAFA when he QUIT due to the shoulder against Juanma ??

How bout a couple of weeks ago with ARCE ????

                  QUITTER ??

                  Easy for you to say,,,,,LMAO
Hopkins for sure got a hit on his rep. Not much for rafa. But seriously, both are veterans with lots of boxing mileage already. Im not bashing ortiz that he quit because of a broken jaw... but rather how he conducts himself after he quit in both madiana and lopez fights... as well as his happy grin after the mayweather ko. Oh, and did I mention he fights dirty he is in trouble? I was a serious Ortiz fan but had since failed to comprehend his action after his loss to Madiana. Ortiz, imo, is not a proud competitor but rather a businessman. Dont worry, i still give props to his great showing in the Berto fight.

If Paulie had Ortiz' power he would be a threat to FMJ. Paulie might be a guido but he has big brass balls.

I was truly disappointed by this fight as I can see the exact moment when Victors will broke. When Lopez would drop his hands and call Victor in then attacked him Victor was back peddling at that point I knew Victor was the lessor man mentally in this fight. Then to hear him call the ref over to quit while gracia was telling him to continue....

he only had to box for 9 more mins just nine. Danny if your going to continue to train this kid please work on his defense its clearly obvious he doesn't like to be injured his offense is solid but for a guy who doesnt like to get injured he sure gets hit alot....

I am no longer a fan of victor ortiz because I can't relate to him my mentality is quite different, I would rather swallow my blood than swallow my pride...his is clearly not. I will follow his career and hope he attains greatness that everyone who laces up a pair of boxing gloves deserves.
