i love a guy that never quits and wants to fight or go down swinging, but there are times where i don't mind a fighter quitting, like when cotto just couldn't handle margarito and was getting beat into submission, him taking a knee the couple times he did in that round, probably saved his career. and honestly ortiz looked like he had a broken jaw, but he could still breath and that isn't a brain type injury that will affect you long term health wise. he should have went out for the round and done his best to finish the fight asap, and if he couldn't get the ko/tko and lopez started landing lots of shots on the jaw, then yeah, maybe you got to give. but literally as soon as the jaw broke he quit, which shows the type of heart he has when he is faced with adversity. so in my opinion he is a bit of *****, and he is dirty that rabbit punch was so blatant and he does this really dirty shhit that clearly is no accident and then tries to be all friendly afterwards, after seeing that happen again, i now support how mayweather took that "cheap shot" and knocked him the fuuck out.
get a real warrior for canelo to fight.
I am do not like Ortiz anymore everytime when his opponent shows resistence or his opponent acts like Ortiz punches are weak Ortiz dies mentally.

I'm gonna still watch Vic & root for him, because he is exciting to watch win, lose or draw....
but apparently all these internet tough guys saying he has no heart or courage for quitting have never had the courage to enter a boxing gym let alone a ring...
go figure huh

When I think back though, in the mayweather fight wasn't Ortiz trying to break Floyd jaw with his head? I guess what goes around comes around time 10 and he miss a big ass payday
i was kinda mad though, the whole round i was yelling for ortiz to hit floyd low..
if what goes around comes around then i feel bad for floyd, 3 counts of domestic violence and raising his children in a violent environment where his kids watch him rough up their mother..

to the guy that said only greats would fight with a broken jaw well i just prove you wrong..
there are numerous types of injuries and fractures....
it is not a universal broken jaw where you can compare one man to the next
so if you broke your arm in a football game would you play the second half?
no you would be in the hospital , isnt that what we are doing comparing every single fracture or break as the same ?

Its easy to say that you can fight with a broken jaw and you cant even close your mouth. He will be the one who will be hurting for days to come and cant even chew his favorite food. He was hit by a good punch thats why he lost. He can come back and win against Josesito the next time. But Victor need to learn proper defense to avoid some thunderous shot from his opponent.

what is sad is that all these internet tough guys who have never been in a fight put a fighter down for quitting with a legit injury....
instead of praising both fighters for such and exciting back and forth fight
and looking forward to the rematch....

I give Ortiz his props for giving us a good fight but hes got problems. Problems in his head and problems with his team. Vic needs to get rid of his trainer first. Vic has huge flaws defensivly. He was getting tagged over and over. He needs to switch up cuz this bully style of boxing doesnt work for him.

I would to pay big money to see any of you clowns fight with a broken jaw and had no power to close your moth. I would really like to see it. I want to see how much more of a warrior you are than Victor. I lost a lot of respect for Victor in the Floyd fight, but dammit how can you call someone a quitter because he didn't want to fight with a broken Jaw??? A cut over the eye, yes I can see your complaints over that. A gash on the head, inexcusable. Hell, a broken hand or foot, yeah, he's a quitter. But a BROKEN JAW AND YOU CAN'T CLOSE YOUR MOUTH??????? YOU WOULD HAVE TO BE AN IDIOT TO CONTINUE. NONE OF YOU WOULD FIGHT WITH A BROKEN JAW THAT COULDN'T CLOSE, NONE OF YOU! lol, but no, just letting off some steam lol, give em a break....no pun intended lol. His jaw was broken at the end of Round 1, and he fought on to Round 9, that shows heart if you ask me, and in all seriousness, Ortiz was winning the fight. Lopez is just another Randall Bailey.
