Why is it that Arthur Abraham was able to fight with his jaw hanging off and Ortiz couldnt make it 3 more rounds? Especially with a huge payday at the other end. Ortiz may have been looking for a way out again with that shot behind the head. The ref said it was a "grazing blow" but it wasnt. He held Lopez head and punched straight down. Something is off with Ortiz, he just doesnt have the mental makeup to be a top fighter. The big winner is Kirkland, I think GBP will have to pay him now.

Just like I told Jangles in the other tread, there was no huge payday happening in 3 months time with a broken jaw. You need to think for a minute. Continuing would have served no purpose other than possibly being hurt more, or winning a close decision if he won at least 2 of the last 3 rounds, that's a big if.

Lopez deserves this win. Think about it.
Ortiz been trying to act hard since the right was announced bumpin his head and trying to mad dog him.
He was a last minute replacement so many didn't expect much from him.
Ortiz signed to fight Canelo before he stepped in the ring with Lopez.

9 rounds and a Broken Jaw later who is the winner? thats right.

Normally I would say that that is uncalled for-- but Victoria did try to punk him at the Weigh-In. So all's fair...

Lopez stood toe to toe with Ortiz, mano e mano so to speak, and laughed in his face.

Ortiz fanbois are just hurt 'Vicious' was put down like a poodle.

Lopez for performance of the year, FOTY and Round of the year (take your pick in that one)

Victor started it, and then Lopez closed his mouth. Literally. He can say whatever he likes.

Say what you will about Ortiz the man has been in some entertaining fights. Mayweather, Berto, Maidana, Lopez.

I don't think he lacks heart but at the same time it isn't something I will praise him for. It takes a lot for a fighter to fight with a broken jaw so when they do I respect that I don't disrespect those who can't.

My problem is Victor likes to act hard, but when confronted by someone actually hard in the ring, he gets out-manned time and again. And then he acts all meek after the fight, like it never really mattered.

Ortiz is a woman! Too concerned about his looks. Go play soccer!
