This is what I was hoping for. Soto was way too overrated by his fans in my opinion. He is nothing but a tough fighter in my eyes. That is why he avoided Rios in my opinion. That would have happened to him sooner.

It was a GREAT FIGHT! I don't see anyone in the junior welters rushing to face this guy.... However I do see folks from 147 to 154 wanting to pick a fight with the Argentinian.
I was about 20 feet from the ring for this fight and the ortiz fight. Matthyse's punches thudded with way more force than either lopez's or ortiz's. It was obvious from round 1 that it was just a matter of time before soto got ko'd.

Did you see the fight? Soto is one of the best combination punchers in the sport just could hang with the bigger guy in the exchanges even though he was landing his share of punches and pushing matthyse back in spots.

Matthysse won't fight Alvarado or Rios because they're Top Rank fighters. I think he might fight Maidana, that would be a great fight.

Yeah combinations that didn't do crap to Lucas. And no it's not because of size. Soto fights nothing but bums. He is overrated as hell. Who's the best fighter on his record? Guzman? Yeah I wonder how that fight went.

Soto is a great boxer that was beaten by a stronger opponent with the right game plan.

Yeah put Soto in there with Rios Khan Alvarado even Judah I bet he won't win any of them. **** I won't even be surprised if he gets stopped by any of them. Vazquez DeMarco Lundy and Abril are back down at Lightweight if he feels he isn't good enough for 140.
