ESPN: Chris Arreola will not be fighting Wladimir Klitschko in the fall

According to Dan Rafael of ESPN, Chris Arreola's management has decided to not pursue a fight with Wladimir Klitschko in the fall.

He doesn't say why, but I imagine it's because he's targeting a shot at the vacant WBC title when Vitali retires.

But Chris punches hard and is very entertaining with his aggressive style.
I'm not openly trying to bash this HW era, because the Klitschko's would be good in any era......but Chris Arreola wouldn't even hardly be known in the 70's and 90's, and probably even in the 80's which was an ehhhh era of HW's.

          Arreola is s**t.

yes sir...he is the mandatory! i have thought about this a couple times. why would he not trigger his mandatory shot at vitali? he took a solid beating but vitali looks much slower now then in their first fight. if vitali is retiring then it makes sense to hold out.

stiverne or wach are the 2 guys behind him in the rankings. stiverne had 4 regional belts at one point but he vacated 2 of them i think. he looked bad his last fight from what i understand. i never saw it but apparently he wasn't in great shape nor was he dominating. wach is big but still unproven. wach would give arreola more trouble but i think he beats him. arreola will kill stiverne. stiverne beat ray austin but he was losing every round until the knockout. other then that stiverne hasn't done anything in his career but he has don king as his promoter so he will get his chance.

I wonder what Arreola will do in the interim? Will he fight or will his management shelve him until he fights for the vacant title?

he will wait & i think that's why he pulled out of the showtime bout coming up because he doesn't want to risk injury with a title shot on the horizon in the fall...
