Oh well. Gamboa wasn't afraid to figth Rios. He f**ked up, he shouldn't have even entertained that fight if he was having reservations about being at Top Rank. That was his mistake. It's handled now, and hopefully Gamboa signs quickly with MP or GBP, and goes straight to 130 with his eyes on Broner.

What was the number??? And who fronted the money???? Mayweather or Golden Boy????

I'm glad you chipped in and straightened out at least one dim-wit. Now do us ALL a favour and tell us whether Mayweather Promotions can sign fighters or not. We've been hearing statements from NSAC and many posters, also the Internet that this company, if it is a company has never had a promoter's licence, and we've never seen a single event promoted by them. And the mist around it is very murky.

Maybe they have signing capability but not promoting permission??

It's not stories... what we've been told by someone who's chill with gamboa himself and his family is that the 2 year extension signed prior to the fight was related to the arena box contract, which was useless because of some terms in the contract that were illegal in the USA, hence there was no valid 2 year extension...

the other story, the thing about buying out the contract for a high sum, only heard it from you now... & i do believe you. but why would they say they won't say anything to anyone and then tell everything to an admin of the biggest boxing website.

and for those wondering who's money it is, the whole court thing has been paid by mayweather the whole time... i don't know about that final big sum you're talking about tho.. i suspect mayweather being involved too but i dont know about that

Haha you would not make it as a promoter with those views.

Gamboa should have faught Rios, because he would have easily beat rios at 135.
