schooling rios is not something one should brag about. its not a difficult feat to accomplish, considering he is one of the worst fighters in boxing at the moment.

as far as khan and garcia, maybe guzman of 2005-2006 could school them with ease, now Im not so sure...

      Little Tyson

Hopefully this guy in his 30's will finally fight A level fighters, all his career he has been fighting c- fighters and thinks he is the big ****.

But a "healthy & focused" Guzman is few and far in-between.

I can't think of a fighter as gifted as him to be given so many chances to redeem himself only to squander it away to borderline self indulgence.

I don't know, maybe he was a victim of his own hype (though gifted) but the dude has blown one opportunity after another to SUPER stardom and now nobody takes him serious.

By the way, I am not much of a Rios fan but Rios murks him at this point!

I think Guzman could beat a few of those guys on this list. As long as it's the recent focused Guzman and not the lazy, undisciplined version of old. His skill set and power are a force to be reckoned with. His work ethic is the determining factor.

And on the day of the weigh in I won't be able to make weight. Please someone tell me who has this dude beaten? I know he was pretty good was being the operative word.

Lack of dedication. He is worse than Rios on the loosing weight department.
In my opinion he barely beat Soto, as a matter of fact Soto was comming strong in the last rounds but it wasen't enough.
Hiena Barrios vs Gusman was a draw.

                    Scared to take risks.
                    Too inactive.
                    Poorly advised/promoted/managed.

I used to think he had the skills to be a top p4p fighter but he clearly lacks the mentality required. His time has passed now. We saw him exposed in that fight with Funeka and figured out the level he is at. TBH he will be remebered as a hype job.
You're spot on. I remember when he was set to face Campbell for three belts at lightweight, that would have been his coming out party but that's the night all the problems started that would later plague his whole career.

lol @ Rios VS Guzman; Battle at the Scales. They could make the fight at a catchweight of 153 so both guys will be sure to make the weight.
