I use to be real big on Guzman years back, such a disapointing career up to this point. Had the skills to be a p4p fighter no doubt, I don't really know what went wrong.

Yeah I have no doubt he would clown on Rios all day, but expecting a focused and healthy Guzman almost seems like expecting a little too much. I'm hoping he can make a comeback though.

Rios did not make the weight twice at 135 but I think he makes 140 lbs easily and him fighting Guzman at JMW is very interesting, I see an easy but boring win for Joan. The question is, will Joan be disciplined enough to make 140?

He had no discipline.
Couldnt be bothered to make weight.
Injury prone and pulled out of high profile fights.
Scared to take risks.
Too inactive.
Poorly advised/promoted/managed.

I used to think he had the skills to be a top p4p fighter but he clearly lacks the mentality required. His time has passed now. We saw him exposed in that fight with Funeka and figured out the level he is at. TBH he will be remebered as a hype job.
