Not now...Cotto can't deal with the CONSISTENT PRESSURE!

I think Chavez Jr beats Cotto right now

I am kinda jumping on the Chavez Jr. bandwagon a little bit...I am just a fan of fighters who can fight inside as well as VICIOUS BODY PUNCHERS because you do see many young fighters go to the Body...especially not as relentless as Chavez Jr does

So I would pick Chavez over Cotto right now...also the fact that Chavez Jr would be so much bigger then Cotto on Fight Night and that would play a MAJOR FACTOR!

If your a Cotto fan you should have some heart for him. He took a brutal beating from Margarito and you don't come back from thoughs, they stay with you! He has NO power if you knew what you were looking at you could tell how he throws his shots and how much arm, hip and body is with his shots. He's an arm puncher 75% of the time. He gave Floyd a tuff fight? Really it looks like he lost and I didn't see Floyd struggle at all. Remember Floyd has no power either! This is an era of WW that are arm punchers at best or how does a superfly move up through the classes to fight from 140 to 147 and WIN???? (Manny) and he's no power guy either. Leonard, Hearns and Duran would be demolishing these guys inside of 8 rounds. Can you imagine these no power guys in with the WW from the 40 thru the 60s??? The younger fans today have no idea what a brutal puncher those guys were, they fought twice a month there was NO HBO you got paid by how you drew fans into the arena. Mayweather would be booed out of the riing back then if he fought like he does now.
Because you weren't there doesn't make it untrue. Imagine these guys getting in the ring with Sugar Ray Robinson, are you kidding me he'd punish these kids today. He fougfht for over 20 yrs in the pros and along with his amatuer fights was stopped once in over 300 fights!!! Mayweather is in iso in a jail because the boys will make him their ***** and he's crying to go home. He beat up a girl!!! Get real! Ray.

i can tell by the way you talk that you know very little about these fighters.

cotto was a knockout puncher at 140 and still had very good pop at 147

margarito has one of the best chins of all time. that's probably the only cotto fight you've ever seen

No it is essentially a 154lb against a dirty Super Middleweight.

exactly. even when arum was floating the idea around, i knew he was setting up cotto to lose once again. the weight on chavez is insurmountable for most widdleweights and cotto is barely a jmw as it is.

cotto's a very small jr mw to boot

there's a huge gap in size.
cotto is smaller than your average man

jr is bigger than your average man by a good deal.

probably 30+ lbs difference in natural size / walking around weight. maybe even more.
jr enters camp looking like a cruiserweight that couldnt possibly make it down to MW.

he almost certainly takes drugs to make weight.

No almost certainly about it. He got busted for it once, and is skipping on drug tests these days.

its laughable the things this guy come up with to skip out on tests. and its all made possible because he fights in texas. there should never be another big fight held in that town until they prove they are serious about the rules applying to everyone.
