Lee was busting Chavez up when he used his jab. He looked weak and didn't throw enough punches. Sergio will have that jab in his face all night and shoot that left straight down the pike...I think Chavez will get hurt by Martinez' punches.
Yea lee was holding up Chavez with his jab but how do u compare a reach of lee to the reach of Martinez. Lee is a big fella how do u compare a taller to short fighter it'll be easier for the kid to just walk through it. Im no Chavez fanboy but he beat my countrymen in lee and Martinez is just showing so Many signs of aging these last few fights I honestly can't see him beating jccjr

I was impressed with Jcc Jr's last performance but Sergio outclasses him with relative ease. Martinez has too much foot speed, hand speed, lateral movement and would walk Jr into power shots for however long the fight lasted. Jr has proven his chin and stamina against lower level to average competition but Sergio is more proven than anyone Jr has ever faced. Jr has a primitive come forward style with little boxing from the outside, has little lateral movement and foot speed, he is tailor made for Martinez. I feel the average Jcc Jr hype fan is way too blinded by the legend of Chavez Sr.

I'm not too sure of this. Barker and the last guy Martinez fought were clearly not as tough as JCC and they gave Martinez fits. Martinez could show his age any day. I think it is a war, either way. Niether guy will have it easy. If Chavez takes Martinez's power, Martinez is in for a long rough night.

I think Lee and Martinez have about the same reach. Martinez has long ass arms.

How did Barker and Macklin fight Martinez? They boxed. How does JCC Jr fight? Enough said.

Lets be honest though.. The only reason this fight is remotely competitive is because of the sheer size of Jr. Martinez has legit power at 160...but he'll be hitting a guy upwards of 3 weight classes on fight night. It was enough to keep Pavlik off him, but Chavez will be even bigger than that and I think Chavez MIGHT be tougher than Pavlik physically. P4p, this is one of those fights that you'd wonder why they'd sanction such a mismatch but Chavez is huge, and everything leans towards him also being on something..and Martinez is a smallish middle as it is = competitive

That means JCC could be hit more and could also hit more and punish Martinez more. It works both ways. And if JCC at 175 pounds going into the ring takes Martinez's shots well, Martinez is going to be roughed up. Enough said.

175? It's possible, but he may be 180 on fight night as he was against Zbik and Rubio.
