Comments Thread For: Haye Feels He Won't Get Klitschko, May Retire After 7/14

DAVID HAYE has given up on facing the Klitschkos after his clash with Dereck Chisora.

He had hoped to take on WBC champion Vitali, 40 – but the Ukrainian is set to face Syrian Manuel Charr on September 8, before hanging up his gloves to go into politics.

LOL Haye was wanting that fight since the end of last year. That's why he was at the press conference to start with. What did Klitschko's manager say? He told him to fight Chisora and Vitali would fight the winner. They sent an offer to Haye after he had already agreed to fight Chisora and Haye didn't refuse it, he said he would fight Vitali in September. What does Vitali do? Signs to fight Charr in September.

lol! he had a choice to fight vitali for peanuts & a belt or fight valuev for a fat payday, a belt & the possibility of a much better bargaining position. haye made the wise choice financially & only klitschko fans say differently. anyone who wasn't a nuthugger could see that haye made the better move by fighting valuev. he got his title, payday & his unification fight with wladimir. it is now vitali who is ducking haye. after the chisora fight vitali said in the post fight interview that if chisora was faster he would have been in serious trouble. vitali wants to end his career on a winning note. if he loses the election will he still retire?

All Haye needs to do is call Vitali a chicken for not fighting him. He needs to rile him up like he did Wladimir. He's not doing enough yet but maybe this is just the beginning. Probably put it on full force after the Chisora fight, I can see it now. Vitali getting chased up a mall escalator soon.

if haye gets past chisora in more impressive style than vitali then the fight really should happen, if it doesn't and vitalli decides to fight carr instead of haye for less money ... well what does that say ... Vitali looked less than his normal dominant self last time out - I think its clear he's on the decline and Haye obviously thinks as much too and reckons the time is right.
