he couldnt provide a urine sample before the fight bcuz he was too dehydrated. he must have provided one after the fight though, even in texas they couldnt be that incompetent not to test him at all.

they have the right to keep him in the arena until he manages to piss in a cup so i hope they enforced that right.

if the odds look good i'll be betting on chavez

he'll surely be the underdog and i think he can beat martinez.

I always thought Chavez best attributes were his chin and he prove it yesterday, saying that he is not a one KO puncher kind of fighter and his biggest strength at MM is his size, he looked very good against Lee and ate some good shots in the process, Martinez ain't Lee and the speed will make the difference, Congratulations to Chavez but I think he will move up in weight before facing SM.

I'll give him a 50% chance of beating Martinez now. The key to beating Martinez is cutting off the ring and taking away his legs. This is where all his power is generated from; The awkward angles and what have you. He will have to fight Sergio in close and trap him along the ropes and corners, if he has any legitimate chance of winning. Chavez cannot afford to follow a dangerous puncher as Martinez around the ring because he may just run into a punch he doesn't see and get KO.

Also the ring size would obviously be very important in this fight. I have a sick feeling that Jr gets everything he wants in this fight & Martinez is gonna have to give into his demands just to get the fight.

Ya, ringsize would play a big factor. But with that said, even if it was as big...(more like small)....as last night, martinez could work with it. I believe martinez has the power, boxing skills, and slickness to contend with chavez, but most of all i see martinez' footwork frustrating chavez all night, eventually wearing down chavez' dehydrated body and setting up the late ko.

at best i give chavez a 25 percent chance of winning, based on being the way bigger guy, a hard puncher who loves going to the body with a decent, maybe good, chin to boot.

Out of 98 votes, the median vote is 40% and the average vote calculates out to be 48%. Funny how Chavez vs Martinez essentially become a 50/50 fight. How the hell did this happen? People would have laughed at this a few months ago.
