    Maidana will K.O his ass

Thurman has no chin, not to mention hes relatively inexperienced, hes been twice heavily to non punchers, hes wide open for Maidana's best punch and reality is hes not very good despite his amateur credentials.

Not sure I like Maidana's chances at 147. Frankly he looked like **** vs Alexander, bad night or not. But if he can't make 140 what can you do.

Maidana probably feels more confident in his new trainer conditioner, also i think he might be chasing an ortiz rematch.

Giant leap in quality of opponent for Thurman whos been beating part-time janitors if he wants to win though he'll need to box more and fight less his hand speed will be an advantage but he might be too daring this early in his career

Maidana had the one fight at 47 so maybe he'll carry the weight better which he'll need to be able to wear down and take out Thurman

Thurman deserves no title shot look@ his record, none-the-less he can take out Midana as his only assest is he's has that tremendous punch...

So he's staying at 147 ? Why make the excuses when Devon beat that but ? he's a natural welter and Devon is just so much better, bad night,LOL.

Yeah that's what I thought. Shame because at 140 he's a beast, but at 147 he looked terrible. Hopefully he can get some good conditioning and grow into the weight over his next couple of fights. I'd hate for him to end up a gatekeeper, he's one of my favourite fighters to watch.

As an aside, it's not all that long ago that Maidana ruled out a rematch with Ortiz, on the grounds that Ortiz was up at WW now.

Alexander is a beast. Maidana is still a tough fight for anyone at 147. Alexander and Cunningham put a great game plan together. Any fighter that can't nutralize Maidana's power is still in trouble. Devon did what works against a bully, and that's to bully back.
