Getting caught using PEDs and getting caught with tampered gloves are apples and oranges. The former doesn't have the same kind of stigma that's attached to the latter. Margarito's reputation and legacy was permanently tainted while Mosley was still one of the most loved fighters even after he got popped. And diuretics aren't even PEDs, it's an entirely different situation than messing with gloves or handwraps. They wouldn't taint the Chavez name like that.

Your whole reasoning is you don't think they would ever do something like this because of how Margarito's career was tainted. But why wouldn't they? Who would expect it? I didn't believe Roach was stacking Manny's handwraps when he fought Margarito for the same reason you don't think Chavez Jr would do anything now.

When Bazooka (old poster here) told me Roach stacked Pac's handwraps/gloves, I thought to myself, why would Roach do that immediately following the glove controversy with Margarito? Then I thought to myself, Bazooka's just another butthurt Margarito fan. But the dude was right!!! It was clear as day on video.

IMO, Roach's whole way of thinking is "people will never expect someone to rob the same bank twice in the same weak". That's how ****y Roach and Chavez Jr are. They will do it right in front of our face; tell us they're doing it and tripple dare someone to say something to them.

I've never heard of fighters weighing their gloves before fights, the gloves have to pass commission inspections so I doubt there's anything wrong with them.

They said the gloves are new and still sealed, plus it's the Texas commission
