I agree mostly with what you state. My perception is that Bob Arum has realized that Manny is no longer interested in boxing. He will retire in the next year or so. He will then go full time into politics. Arum needs a fresh new face for the next 5-6 years. Bradley is undefeated, young, American and solely concentrated on boxing. I do think that Arum is cashing out on Manny. Arum's job is to promote. I think he is all that is wrong in boxing but he can promote the hell out of any fighter that he wants. Just my two cents.

Apologies first as I am more of a casual fan (although I do a lot of reading of threads on here this is my first post) and will be honest as I don`t know the ins and outs of what goes on. Having said that though, I have been a casual fan since the early 90s so I do know the more popular boxers.

As a previous poster has stated Bob Arum is just a promoter which to me means that is all he should do....yes he gets boxers to sign a contract allowing him to promote a certain amount of fights for them but surely that doesn`t mean he gets to tell them who to fight as if he were their manager? Shouldn`t it just be a case of a boxer (who "allows" Arum to be his promoter by signing on the dotted line) going up to Arum and saying I`m fighting such and such next so do your thing and promote it?

        They still got ties here.
But he knows everybody and if you pay the right people and grease the right palms you can do whatever you want specially in Vegas

I'm sure it does most of the time or for his other fighters but because manny manager is owned by arum to its kinda hard for mandy to say who he's fighting lol

            i agree with TS.

right after the fight i told my friend:

Mayweathers probably out of jail by August. Bob Arum doesn't want Pac to fight him so he makes Bradley win so Pac fights Bradley in a rematch in November instead of fighting Mayweather.

Arum wanted to give bradley as present for signing with top rank to let Bradly know he made the right decision.

Arum was just hoping bradley put up a better effort.
