The way I see it, if Bernard was truly better than Taylor (and I know age plays a bit into this), he would have STORMED Taylor in the rematch and stopped him like he said he would. I didn't believe him, and I was right. Can't believe a lot of you clowns fell for it. ALL THE SIGNS WERE THERE. Don't let bias cloud your vision. I'm not posting on here, saying Corrales will KO Castillo in the third fight. I'm not sure Corrales will win at all, but as a loyal and yes, bias, fan, I'm HOPING he can do it. But there's not really a strong case to be made that he can right now.

For the record, I thought Hopkins won the first fight. But I had the benefit of being able to see it in different angles, slow mo the video and get a better analysis than the judges at ringside.

The second one, I knew it was Hopkins losing. I was suprised that it was decided at 115-113.

I noticed that Hopkins did at least TRY and storm Taylor at the end of the first. He seemed to take a few back and then change his mind.

its a shame too see him go for me but it was inevitable, he had noticably slowed down in the last 3 years, taylor was JUST good enough to snatch the wins. i had the 1st for a round to J and the 2nd a draw but have no problems at all with the results as they were that type of fights where they were close and each fighter did very little alot of the time

Who else besides Taylor in the last ten years has stood there, and went toe to toe with Hopkins in the boxing category, and came out even or ahead? X has knocked out Oscar, totally destroyed Joppy and Tito by breaking them down, and sent Allen into oblivion.

Hopkins just got beat by a younger lion whose time has come to rule the land. Yes age had some to do with it, as you can just view weight in pics from the Tito fight, and Taylor fights and see what I mean.Hopkins age caught up with him alittle, and thats a given.Howerver, Taylor basically took X out of his boxing plan ,and made X more cautious because of his power. In 2 fights FIVE JUDGES had X losing, not just 1 or 2, but 5.

I know all the Hopkins fans remember that he said he was going to have to knock Taylor out to make sure he won. Well Taylor took Hopkins best rights both fights and was never hurt, and that made Hopkins think twice about exchanges with Taylor. That alone deserves respect from the Hopkins fans, and hopefully they will come around.

I seriously doubt some of them will ever admit Hopkins lost. A lot of them (I'm not gonna name names) are actually posting stuff like "AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, HOPKINS NEVER LOST HIS TITLES, SO HE'S UNDISPUTED".
