Comments Thread For: Danny Williams' Farewell Fight, What Really Happened

Everything seemed fine for heavyweight Zoltan Petranyi to defend the UBO European title on his 45th birthday against former Mike Tyson conqueror Danny Williams on Sunday, June 10, at the Ramada Hotel in Budapest. Williams was in town, had worked out and appeared to be in good shape, weighed in and on the day of the fight and everything was ready.

Not the first time Williams has pulled something like this, I don't think he's mentally right at all. He should have quit a long time ago.

shows a lotta heart & courage on Williams part...was Tyson that over-rated, IMO, he was not grea, just good...he would have never survived vs 4man, Joe or Kenny...

          Comment From Danny William's Trainer

I am Danny's trainer and at no stage did I say the fight was on. Please get your facts right before you write.
To comment...it was an unfortunate freak accident that occurred ... anything could have exacerbated the cut in the fight and causing the ref to stop the fight and thus handing a TKO against Danny...something that was not needed for Danny's last intended fight.

No he didn't actually. But sounds like you're talking from experience. Why don't you share it with us for some public counselling...
