I don't think this situation played out the way Arum thought it would. I think he figured - which I can understand - Bradley would give a convincing enough performance that at least you could make some semblance of an argument for him deserving the win. That way, a rematch in November and a possible rubber match makes more sense.
I don't think he expected Pacquiao to dominate and for the entire public to agree and be outraged. That sort of explains his excitement for Bradley at the end of the fight, and then turning completely around and saying it was a ridiculous decision. He gambled on Bradley being better, and he wasn't.
If I'm right about this, it's possible a rematch won't occur. Although I think if it does, Arum will screw Bradley no matter what (although really, the idea of Bradley getting elite-level skills by November and Manny being completely shot by then are pretty much 0%). Even if Bradley were to fight his ass off and 'win', he wouldn't get the decision. The next person in line to get ****ed over by Arum is his experiment-gone-bad Timothy Bradley, and I think there's plenty of reason to believe that.
