Comments Thread For: Rigondeaux Targets Every Champion at Super Bantam

Cuban star Guillermo Rigondeaux could shift his focus towards South Africa’s Jeffrey Mathebula and Takalani Ndlovu soon.

Rigondeaux makes the first defence of his WBA super-bantamweight belt in Las Vegas on Saturday night when he faces Teon Kennedy on the undercard of the tournament in which Manny Pacquiao fights Timothy Bradley.

rigondeaux needs to stfu & stop trying to cut the line.

the guy has 9 wins & have not beaten anybody of note.

He needs to earn it first.

You ain't got a clue what you are talking about.

Rigo has had some top wins at the weight against Cordoba and Ramos, and is now the champ.

And he has looked damn good in his fights.

The 4 top guys at the weight are Donaire, Nishioka, Mares and Rigondeaux, any fight involving these would be great.

He's a champion, and he needs to earn a shot to fight the other champions at his weight-class?? You know how ****ed up that sounds right? He shouldn't have to run around looking for unification bouts. Props to Kennedy for taking the fight, cuz otherwise Rigo would probably not even be on the undercard. Rigo needs to impress in this one, let his hands go more and try to stop Teon quickly.

Could that be because nobody of note will agree to fight him? A 9 win champion that has the top brass of the division ducking and dodging. I've never seen anything like it.

I give props to anybody who fights him as it appears to be name hunting time for everyone else.

Good luck, bantam must be the most talent packed division right now. Just donīt fall in love too much with your belts because Rey Vargas is going to take them all.

Rigondeaux was lucky against Willie Casey.

Big **** was just warming up.
