I'm sure you understand why people are su****ious. As I said, Margarito's reaction towards what his trainer did was muted to say the least. Anybody in their right mind would be screaming bloody murder.

As an aside, Cotto said after their first fight he's never been hit so hard, and Margarito isn't known as a power puncher. How somebody does that kind of damage with what are essentially arm punches is beyond me.

I like Cotto, so I'm not going to say what may or may not have happened in that fight. At the end of the day, even though now they dispute this, his trainer (or someone from his side) was in the room when Marg got wrapped and he never made a complaint. I'd rather take that into account than what Cotto has to say after a fighter from a rival country gives him his first loss. Obviously he's going to be upset and if there's su****ion of cheating later on, then naturally as a proud and tough fighter he's going to use it to justify (at least to himself) how he could've lost to someone less skilled than himself.

Wow, so much hate on these boards. You people realize every time he was wrapped there was a member of the opponents camp watching and there was never a problem before or after the Mosley thing. It was never even proven that he was aware of what happened yet everyone is quick to assume he's a cheater. It happened once and it was stopped before the fight, so at worst you can accuse him of attempted cheating. The guy was a warrior, as Warren said not the most talented, but a tough mofo. There's no reason to hate so much.

Mosley used steroids when he fought Oscar at 154. It isn't cool, and he paid a price for it. Mosley went on to lose 4 fights against Forrest and Wright at that weight. I think he used them to try to fight at 154, Mosley never belonged up there.

But in my opinion it's not comparable to plaster in your gloves.. That will kill somebody. Steroids arguably made Mosley perform worse. Bigger + slower.

Imagine if Mosley fought with plaster in his gloves circa 2002. Think about that for a second...

for me, Margarito entertained the hell out of me when he fought...he was a relentless son of a b1tch that threw a million punches

There's no evidence he used plaster in any fight. The one time it was attempted it was stopped before it happened. Cotto's corner never complained about his wraps the night of the fight so you need to let it go.
