Antonio Margarito thank you for all the great fights that you gave us.
I'm most likely your only fan but I still have tremendous respect for you and I wish you the best of luck.
He never quited in the ring and had an iron chin. Always pressing forward, not the most technical and talented fighter but one tough SOB'er.

Good to see him retire after all, he took his punishment like a true man and did not go down.

(I'm searching for old Margarito fighting footage and matches, if anyone got something or a link please PM me)

Magarito's carrer will be remembered for the good and the bad. The good is his courage, style never-quit and chin... The bad is the doubts generated about the cheating thing.
Anyway hope he can do well in his new life and recover his eye completely.

I value winning The Ring championship much more than being a "Top WW for years".

F-ck Margarito, and f-ck his fans, and any one who's defending him

I've always loled when people call this guy a warrior. He was somebody near 6 feet, trying to make fighters move up in weight ( pac, cotto, floyd... ) to fight him. He moved up at 154 to fight Santos lost and came back at 147 to fight smaller guys. The height advantage wasn't enough so he got caught cheating with plasters in his hands. After this "incident", he is 1-3 and got stopped 2 times. Yeah, a warrior lol

Margarito knows that he's not an elite fighter without cheating so he's retiring.

thats what im sayin **** all that he paid for his crime **** he could've killed Cotto that night Im convinced he had loaded wraps for the second Cintron fight aswell and who knows how many other fights

the guy was a piece of **** who got what he deserved by being bludgeoned by Pacquiao and outboxed by Cotto second time around let's call it how it is

Also the only reason he got to big paydays after getting caught cheating is because he was another overrated puppet of Top Rank

It is kind of crazy how his chin never went downhill.
He took a lot of punishment, even in his best fights against Kermit Cintron 2,
but his chin was always intact.
And his toughness is just unreal, takes a beating for 12 rounds against Pacman and takes almost the same beating on the same eye against Cotto and he didn't even care.
