Its funny how people exaggerate how Barrera beat Hamed.

the usual ," He took his soul"...."he humiliated him" etc.....when really it was nothing more than a fighter being outboxed and countered losing by 3-4 rounds

They probably never seen the ffight and are basing it of what they heard or read like most posters on here

I guess these are the people that were waiting, hoping, and praying that he loses so when he does they can claim he was never really that good anyway lol.

they did it with Roy Jones, and if Floyd ever loses regardless of what fashion, they willl exaggerate it anyway to fit their agendas

If you fought as long as Hamed did since 7 years old and fight until your late 20's you are gonna have hand problems...same reason why fighters like Mayweather, and Roy Jones wasnt knocking guys out or going for the kayo opening up like they used to.

Im not a Brit and its kinda weird how they overrate his win over Hamed. Naz wasnt destroyed or even knockdown in the fight. The best hamed was in the mid 90s-late 90s a time when most on here didnt even watch boxing. They act like Hamed is a scrub or was a hypejob but really thats the biggest win of Barrera's career. Hamed was ranked higher p4p than anyone he beat even Morales plus Naz was dominating featherweight when no one was even familar with Barrera and Morales

and was winning fights away from home before he lost those fights too

did you really just say hamed is the biggest win of barrera's carreer?

in terms of fame maybe, but not accomplishment

he never beat Morales clearly IMO....I think Barrera won the first fight by a point and lost the last two. He clearly beat Hamed. Was a bigger win, if it wasnt for that win he wouldnt enjoy the status he does.

A number of factors. His head was not in boxing anymore, he was all about living it up outside the ring. What kept him in the game was the fame it afforded him and his own delusions of invincibility. When he was exposed as being mortal and lost that public image, we found out where his true priorities lay.

thats your opinion....not mine. Barrera had the advantage inside, Morales had it outside the fight went back and forth. IMO Morales landed the better shots

Plus if you actually watched boxing back in the 90's until he fought Barrera you would actually know how big Hamed was how dominant he looked against good comp. and how highly rated he was p4p and on the world stage

they saw Barrera-Morales as an even fight, they saw Hamed as the outright favorite, thats why people make a big deal of Hamed losing the fight...it was an upset

Saying what a fighters greatest win is an opinion genius...that is a fact

just like how Pernell Whitaker-Chavez was actually a draw and Erislandy Lara "lost" to Paul Williams

Those fights could have went either way with Morales and Barrera....so lemme ask you this

do you go on boxrec or cyberboxingzone and see a win or loss on a fighters ledger and believe they were all correct?

Actually watch the fights and you'd have an opinion of your own
