    hmm

thats irrelevant though, style makes fights, and you cant say cotto is better than floyd becuase he knocked corley out in five when floyd ud'd him
Actually, it's completely relevant, because they both are the same type of fighter who try to impose their will on a guy. Damgaard is even more aggressive than Cotto and still could only get a TKO of the very small Rock Martinez, who Cotto destroyed in 2 rounds. I would never say Cotto is better than Floyd. But Damgaard and Cotto's style both revolve around power and obviously Damgaard does not have much, so if he beats Gatti at his own game then Gatti shoul quit.

A couple of years ago a Damgaard Gatti fight could have made a classic for brutal fights since Damgaard is also a come forward type of fighter who can really trade but Damgaard has been on the decline the last couple of years and I doubt he has much left. Something tells that he may know that himself since he recently turned down fighting Oktay in Germany for the European championship because he didn't really feel ready for it. Before that he was supposed to fight Rivera for the WBA belt but it kept being postponed and never took place.

I really hope that Damgaard can return to the form he shoved about 4-5 years ago since i like him as a fighter and that would make a great fight but i doubt he will and he will probably find himself in great trouble against Gatti if he doesn't find that form. Because recently he has not looked impressive against fighter he should easily be able to take out.

damgaard is far from a pushover and is a genuine world title contender.....furthermore, he is a southpaw...this should and could add ****e to the match up..

this will be a competitive fight, and unless gatti turns up 100%, he will lose on points!
