Wow I see so much hate on here, that guy has done plenty in the world of boxing to deserve my respect.....I bet non of you people would skip 2 weight classes to fight with the # 1 contender (and a very tough too) that should be more than enough to deserve some respect.

yea ok, fine Robert, you're elite....happy now? Now just please go out and be more active in making fights if u win this next one.
Aydin is a perfect matchup for him it would seem, and I bet the Ghost will be all over him early on.....but the little guy seems like he can crack. Guererro, being the taller fighter and lingering on the inside might be something that gets him caught here and there when Aydin explodes out of his shell.
all in all, The Ghost career has moved very slow because of all kinds setbacks, but he does have the level of skill that will allow him to make a rise during the 2nd half of his career which I think starts against Aydin

His skill is far greater than his accomplishments at this point but I fully expect that to change after this win.

ghost had hella set backs such...almost a year lay off dealing with his old promoter goosen..his wife going through treatments and sergeries..almost dieing..his shoulder injury past a year in delays...so before u ripp him keep all the setbacks in mind...he will be elite trust that rg is strong person,,,i can bet not one boxer alive been through that many setbacks in the last 5years ...once he gets rolling watch out...

^ I don't think it's hate as much of fans tired of Guerrero running his mouth.
the guy has accused Floyd & Pacquiao of ducking him ... I mean seriously? Guerrero doesn't have any big wins north of 140, who is he to call out the Elite at WW like that?
Originally posted by gmc_rfc_06 View PostHe's certainly in the elite class when it comes to talking himself up.
All I hear is "Yap yap yap, I want a big fight"
Originally posted by Punching Diva View PostGuerrero is a beast. Anytime you get a guy moving up in weight and winning titles like he does is very impressive. Who else is doing that? Not many...only Manny and Floyd to my knowledge
and The Ghost has won titles @ featherweight & Super Featherweight, plus two interim belts at Lightweight but even those accomplishments Rob tries to make seem bigger than they are
**what great belt holders has he beaten?
Originally posted by arraamis View PostThe problem with Guerrero is that he's constantly tooting his own horn and in boxing, it helps to have praise coming from observers rather than the actual fighter.
Get some consistent wins against solid opponents and then, maybe, observers will view him as an elite.
I've done this I've done that .. I want a big fight etc
**real bummer the shoulder injury meant no Maidana fight for Guerrero as that coulda been a big win @ 140 for him, and less yapping.Last edited by MJ406; 06-05-2012, 06:12 AM.
