He "said" it is NOT a smoking gun. GBP tried to stop it before it got published, which is the best strategy for them if you think about it. Top high-paid lawyers threatening low-income journalists and their sources.

If they're clean and have nothing to hide, all GBP had to do was just call the guy up from the beginning. They're both based in LA. Just show him the agreement (off the record) and the story is DEAD. OR GBP could've waited until Montoya published his piece. THEN sick their lawyers on him and release the documents that prove he's full of ****, thus RUINING his journalism career!! Even now, they could still just release the documents and his career would take a hit. Don't know what the problem is.

So you're still not su****ious, huh?

So when that whole story about the "What if he tests positive" email came out, were you screaming for Top Rank etc to open their email accounts/records to whoever to verify if the email existed or not?

Im guessing since they didnt offer that access to quiet the story then you think they are actually legit then right?

With that same logic, when Manny was accused by Roger etc of being dirty, the fact that Manny didnt take OSDT right then just to shut them up then he must be dirty right? I mean, if you got nothing to hide right?

          Seems legit...

People on this site, man, I swear. Boxers ask for and take additional testing but ppl wanna comPlain and cry about the organization doing the tests! Haha. Now it's not the fact that they're getting tested, but who's doing it?!?!? Wtf??? And yet we still have a certain fighter who has yet to EVER do random tests (but he's supposedly agreed to it tho...riiiiiight)

Top Rank publicly demanded Atlas to produce the email and Atlas looked like a complete fool. They didn't have to sick their lawyers on Teddy. What records should Top Rank have released exactly? They were still under negotiations with Floyd & GBP!!! No records were final!!

And you're comparing Roger Mayweather's "A-side meth" slanderous accusation to a journalist asking legit questions??? No boxing writer has done more research on PED testing than this guy. You think it's the same thing as Roger MAYWEATHER throwing false accusations??

Sorry pal, you have no argument.

Well good "Pal". I dont intend to argue, only point out the flaw in your logic, and the obvious double standard that you present.

Montoya was following up on the things his sources have told him. Journalists are often protected in California so it doesn't make sense why GBP would send a cease and desist letter.

He's addressing that threat in a follow up tonight on Maxboxing, so we'll see what he has to say.

Montoya has done great reporting when it comes to this subject (USADA destroying the test samples, breaking the stories), but him and Steve have been wrong about their Mayweather sources before. Montoya heard that Mayweather's move to King was done and Kim reported Morales/M.Hatton were in discussion to fight Floyd.

They missed the marks, but Montoya has been accurate when it comes to this subject so far.

The best thing is just to let this all play out and let him being allowed to report/research. It's ******ed to shut him down, not to mention cowardly.

Hell VisionQuest asked Arum to open his books on how Manny was being paid and Arum told them to **** off he wasn't showing them *****. I agree with that unless its court ordered hell no I wouldn't just show people test results and contract agreements based off of 3rd party rumors that a reporter wants to investigate. Nobody in the real world operates like that.
So do you then agree with Pacquiao's initial refusal to take Floyd's OSDT just because of his baseless accusations. Seems Pacquiao did the right thing now that everythig is coming to light that USADA, GBP & Floyd are all in cahoots.

I often wonder how at 35 years of age can Floyd work out 3 times a day and run 10 miles in the middle of the night and not rest his body, drink sodas & eat cookies and still look ripped. Those PEDs must be "A-side".
