Yeah because the WBC will make Canelo fight him. Canelo can do whatever he wants with that belt, he's not going to be stripped. I would love to see Canelo vs Lara, I think Canelo is being very undersold in that bout. He could beat Lara. But I doubt we'll ever see it.

Angulo was the mandatory #1 for two years, Kirkland beat him.
Alvarez wouldn't fight Kirkland either if he didn't look so beatable against Molina. Mandatories don't count with the WBC.



Lara-Alvarez would be a good fight though.
