If Roach Isn't A Great Trainer, Then Who Is?

The two main areas I look for in a good trainer is A) Game Plan B) Psychical Preparation
Game Plan.
I think the problem is that when watching 24/7 and the corner in a fight we do not see or always hear what strategies and game plans/changes are being made for their opponent. What do we do when something isn't working.
Although different I used to compete and train karate, but now I coach and the mark of a good coach is what they do when things go bad and having a game plan when **** is going wrong. Having a plan B,C and sometimes D. No saying try harder, punch more/harder, get after him and other cliches.
There have been many fights when the a change of tactics help a fighter win a match he was down in.
Physical Preparation
For example when Nacho was preparing JMM for a WW fight he did alot of things wrong for gaining weight and preparation. Then when he fought Pac you can see how much physically stronger and fitter. I am not talking about performance I am talking about preparation.
Being physically prepared for a pressure in close fighter is different from a counter puncher, or a distant fighter.Comment

Roach is a media diva, atention seeker, trash talker.I can't post in that thread because the TS has me on ignore, but I'm wondering what active trainers can be considered great? If we're speaking on terms of trainers that have created a world class fighter and not just trained an ALREADY world class fighter, one who immediate comes to mind is Nacho Beristain. He's created a who stable of World Champions through out his career. But who else?
Emmanual Steward is the ATG boxing trainer still alive.Comment

You hope for a lot of things that haven't happened for you in life, loser.
I don't have to continue the back and forth with you.
I simply would tell people to look at what you have to write. You're an idiot, and you have little to say but lots of noise to make.
Now I'll tell you what I told your mother the hermaphrodite: Go fuck yourself.Comment

I agree that even the "great" trainers have flaws. You just don't usually see a so called "great" trainer that has as many flaws as Freddie Roach. I have already pointed out at least 5. A great trainer should at least be able to teach his boxers basic defence and how to throw accurate combinations. All of Roach's fighters have very poor defence and are also very sloppy and can't adjust. It makes me sick that this guy isn't half as good of a trainer as Nacho Beristain and Roger Mayweather yet he gets two or three times as much credit. If he didn't have parkinsons syndrome and wasn't the biggest attention whore in the sport then I highly doubt that he would be getting the level of attention that he is getting.Comment

Roach is a good trainer, not great but good. There are hardly any great trainers around at all though. There are only a few great old school trainers like Steward and nacho around and even fewer top notch up and coming trainers like hunter and mccracken.Comment
