The more i think about the Kirkland vs Canelo drama

Ray Robinson pulled out of fights for more money all the time. Sometimes even on the day of the fight. I know its frustrating for us fans but its business.1) Kirkland got a gift in his last fight
2) Having an injured shoulder doesn't make you more valuable to a promotion.
3) If he wanted more money he shouldn't have agreed to the deal and announced it.
4) Lying and claiming an injury to get out of a fight agreement that is the best payday of your life is a punk move
5) He is taking advantage of the special circumstance that PW is freaking paralyzed and he is the only option to squeeze more money out of GB. Not a classy move.Comment

That's right. Two champions and four top ten contenders. Those are all good fights for the champ. Canelo is fearless. If people think he is easy to beat they should bet against him. I always bet on him and I will bet on him again whoever they get for him on September 15th. If Kirkland's shoulder is less than 100% he should not take the fight for any amount of money. If his shoulder is good to go he just priced himself out of a tittle shot because he is not worth anything close to 2.5 million. Canelo was prepared to fight Williams who is better than Kirkland in my opinion. He is not trying to take advantage of Kirkland's injury. He does not think like that.It really amazes me how any one would have any problem with any of the 5 names being mentioned as Canelo opponents. They're all obvious step ups, and more than good replacements for Paul Williams. Kirkland, Lara, Trout/Rodriguez, Bundrage. It really just looks like random hatred. It makes no sense to hate on any of these matches.Comment
