Peter "The Kid Chocolate" Quillin: Can He Bring Some Pride Back to American Boxing?

This guy looks like he can be something special, great array of punches, an attacking style, mixes up his punches, good variation. He entertaining takes risks and seems like a good guy out of the ring too.

With Floyd Mayweather attitude and criminal problems, Ortiz's fragile mind that make him want to kiss and hug his opponents because he doesn't deserve to take a beaten, Rios failing to make weight time and time again, Ward's headbutting and boring style and unwilling to travel, Bradley's ducking of Khan, Peterson's and Berto's PED taking, Bronner, all the mouth but has not stepped up as yet and their heavweights just waiting till the K bros retire.

Not many American Boxers you can be proud of.

But in "The Kid Chocolate" I think you could have a real star that could show boxing in a good light once again and entertain the crowds.

He is up against the very tricky Winky Wright, who may be past his best and got overwhelmed by P. Willy (Best of luck with your recover) but is style technically brilliant and still has his ring smart.

Stern test for Quillin but I believe he will overcome and could be a major light in American boxing in the future.

Yeah Froch, win lose or draw you can be proud of that guy.

The current crop of American fighters seem to lack heart.

Quillin seems like he in boxing for the right reasons and will entertain as well as well.

He seems to want the big fights and is not brash and all talk and no action.

It will a big night for him tonight.

I'm not on about being better, I'm on about being proud of.

Juan Manual Marquez, is there an American fighter that Americans feel as proud of as Mexican's feel about that guy.

I think he can do it tonight, but Winky will be a tough fight even at this stage. Winky didn't rely on his physical ability too much it was much more technical and mental.
