I think people are looking at roadwork as a way to increase stamina in your lungs... I'd say it's much more important to build the stamina in your legs.

I can see where he is coming from, if he performs 3mins at 100% with a minute break for 13-14 sets then he should be fine, i work in the industry and HIIT and tabata are excellent ways of training but there should also be a place for the road running, even if it is used for recovery runs.
You cant train anaerobically the whole time of your body will break down and the quality of the session will dive

cool, that's how i used to do it when running my six miles, except with pullups every half a mile(2 laps around my school = little over 1 mile)

            it worked wonders

Yes there is, Juan Diaz didn't do any roadwork and swam instead. His stamina was great.

Actually it does. HIIT increases BOTH aerobic and anaerobic stamina :

athletes using this method trained 4 times per week, plus another day of steady-state training, and obtained gains similar to a group of athletes who did steady state (70% VO2max) training 5 times per week. The steady state group had a higher VO2max at the end (from 52 to 57 ml/kg/min), but the Tabata group had started lower and gained more overall (from 48 to 55 ml/kg/min). Also, only the Tabata group had gained anaerobic capacity benefits.

The best thing road work does is fat burning.

why? they're both ****, with no footwork and rely purely on speed and modest power whilst diving in. pretty similar come to think of it

At Cruiserweight he gassed bad, the main reason why an ancient Thompson managed to get him out of there, he's slowed down his pace considerably since he's been at Heavyweight.

One thing I agree with above all else is microwave food, are people actually still doubting its bad for you I though that was common knowledge I see microwaves simply as a tool to aid the fat and lazy amongst us. It wouldn't surprise me if it gets confirmed years down the line that microwaved foods can trigger cancer I believe there is already evidence of a link.
