i dont know why many ppl in this forum said Khan has weak stamina, he's maybe not on Bradley or pacquiao level but somebody who finished strong in FOTY(maidana) or FOTY candidate(peterson) does not have weak stamina.

Bernard doesn't have great stamina tbh, not now. He is just clever is saving energy.

Tbh Khan jogs a lot, he was in the Philipines doing high altitude and looked decent. I am interested to see how it goes.

Oh and for anyone who says Khan has bad stamina is wrong. khan dips from rounds 6-9 I have seen, but comes back hard 11. For example people said Peterson adjusted, but actually Khan adjusted back and went pretty much on Peterson's ass round 9 and 12 I think it was.

Don't know why everyone is bagging him out. Scientifically he is a right. A boxing round lasts for 3 minutes with 1 minutes rest. Why is it beneficial to run 5 or 8 miles all in one hit at a non explosive pace?? It' s actually better to do sprints for 3 minutes with short breaks during the 3 minutes then have a 1 minute break to mimic a fight. Also if you do away with road work altogether and just allocate that extra time for sparring how would you not be boxing conditioned??

Bernard does more spinting on a track as far as i can tell.

                  ^^^

I agree, this is exactly what he means. This is classical roadwork in a boxing sense. You can do roadwork with different intensity levels to mimic a fight.

I think road work is about more than just building stamina and losing fat. It has to do with toughening your body for long grueling fights. I agree with sprints or other hiit also being essential. You have too mix it up.

Squats and deadlifts are just as good cardio as running imho. Personally i also favour skipping over running. It's harder, and instead of running at a single pace you can alternate. You can skip regularly from side to side, then do high knees, then crossovers etc etc, all the time changing intensity.

For the gym junkies, try and do this and tell me it's not a better cardio workout than running:
