However, Whitaker "draw" vs Chavez goes under Whitaker resume.

I think we can all agree on that right?

Duran getting KTFO by Hearns doesn't go under his resume either.

So losses doesn't count as resume.

Of course not always there are some exceptions to that rule. But, losses don't count as resumes.

And, I just stopped reading that post there. So couldn't answer the rest of the post. But, I'm pretty sure it was a ******ed reply.

I was also told in this very thread that we dont go buy our sports boxing publications when we award & recognize our fighters.

I wonder if these same fans do the same for other sports.

I guess MJ & his MVPs are fraudulent since we dont go buy our sport's publication when awarding & recognizing our athletes.

why is this even up for debate?
so you have agreed with every award given in magazines and publications, SI, the espy awards etc.....all awards are opinion based.

their is no debate, you are just using someone elses opinion to validate your own.
you cant validate an opinion with another opinion

        You are correct.

        Pacquiao/JMM III comes to mind.

        As does Williams/Lara.

of course not but at least its grounded & based on something. Those guys follow the sport & get paid for a living & their opinions matter more. Its not just one guys spewing nonsense on the internet.

Its writers who follow the sport & come to a overall consensus based on facts, logic, resume, & statistics. Again, something you can measure.

          Not conceited baseless conjectures.

          again,

the fact that this is even a debate is a sad referendum on you individually.

you pick those most unanimous MVP ever to validate yourself...on the flipside...another example....Kobe Bryant has one league MVP and 5 championship rings...Lebron James has 3 MVP awards and no championship rings.....

those are opinion based awards which can be biased, have hidden agendas, and some athletes just arent as popular as others and we know Kobe was never and will never be as popular as James.

Did I mention Floyd once in my post? Or are you obsessing over Floyd yourself? Did I even compare Pacquiao to Floyd? Or are you making the comparison and therefore reduced to calling my post "baseless" as a form of defense?

Basically, what you're asserting is that because Manny has received the most writer awards, he has accomplished the most.

              You cannot refute:

Manny has padded his record with 40 fights and he only has 59.

Manny campaign above 135lbs lacks any real substance whatsoever as it pertains to legacy and value.

Manny can only be compared to other greats of boxing's past and present IF AND ONLY IF one includes his campaign at WW and jrMW. If you take those farces away, Manny entire legacy is predicated on his wins over Barrera and Morales. And most acknowledge that Pacquiao's WW and jrMW campaigns are marred by catchweights, rehydration clauses, winning one single title at a WW in a catchweight bout and winning one single jrMW vacant title against a cheater who was still banned at the time of the fight.

Show me how those assertions are baseless. Go ahead. Dazzle us.
Its as I said ... the guy has really has nothing to say. Instead of backing up his own words he's chosen to to explain why he shoe polishes boxing writers' nuts.

Exactly. Its why Durans win over Davey Moore is arguably the most significant win other than SRL.

                  & rehydration clauses?

That's why its not really worth responding to.

Its like president ***** trying to talk sense to orly taitz.

the fact is you are the only one that views this as a debate....I DONT

their is no debate that publications award athletes based off their OPINION

there is no debate you use their opinion in his case to validate your own

So you believe every broadcaster is knowledgeable about the sport? most of them only are casual fans themselves and didnt start watching fights until they got a job in the field

So their opinion means more than people who have participated and analyzed the sport their whole life's or since child hood because they collect a pay check to give their opinion? NO their is no debate
