Great fight. If you look at their records, ko % and where they were in their careers it's an amazing matchup.

Thanks for sharing this brutal, short and sweet fight. Zamora and Gomez had Ko% 100 and Zarate only one fight by points. I wonder if they were fighting bums by then(started watching boxing on '99) and if they would be capable of such high ko% with the pillow gloves of today.

Why did MAB jump into the ring?

that guy jumping into the ring was funny but it was classic how the guy was just standing there and the cops jump him, throw him out of the ring and drag him acrossed the ring apron.

still watching the fight but had to laugh at the cops f'n him up.

just wanted to add: the hair styles in the 70's were great for television boxing. the fans can distinguise between punches that land and those that miss or just graze by the amount of hair displaced. just saying

good eye dan_cov, that was one entertaing scrap. when ever i see zarate i am reminded of salador sanchez, similar akward styles.

did you see the skill when they threw the towel in? it landed right over the guys eyes, that was about a 15' throw. thats one good towel man.

Battle of the Z Boys. Very overlooked action fight between two monstorous punchers.
