Normally I will stick up for Calzaghe, but lets be real...Froch let the world decide who his opponent would be and he won most of them, but lost a couple of those wars. Calzaghe never had the opportunity to step to the plate like that. Calslappy would get smashed out of the super six, at least Froch had the nerves to test himself.

    Lose to Ward.
    Smash Bute.
Get heavy consideration for P4P status.

His career is already more storied than Calzaghe's.

Calzaghe was a special fighter, only one who comes in the same class as him on that list is Ward and I think Calzaghe would pip him.

Basically Calzaghe and Ward are in a different level to the rest of those guys and the S6. So if you're asking me if he'd lose, I'd say no because Ward is the only one who could do it but I don't think he would.

Well, eliminate Kessler. Whether at home or not, Calzaghe showed the best version of Kessler could only win about 4 rounds against him.

The rest, very good lineup. Calzaghe makes easy 120-108 work of Abraham and Johnson, they play right in to his high workrate style.

        That's 3-0.

Calzaghe have little power, I don't think he stops Bute like Froch did, but I can see him winning in a boxing match. Probably outworks Bute to a decision.

Ward, Dirrell, Pascal, I would be lying if I say I can think of how these fights would have gone. I honestly don't know. Ward-Calzaghe would probably look similar to Hopkins-Calzaghe but less ugly and more competitive.

i think ward would beat him because he his much the better technical boxer and i think Dirrell gives him problems with his speed and movement.

Pascal would probably be easy work after 4 rounds, his stamina would be his undoing vs Joe who has some of the best work rate of all time.

We're talking about Prime Calzaghe? Ward never seen anything like that beast, Calzaghe can do pretty much everything Ward can.. comparable speed... power.. Calzaghe can fight inside, timing was amazing and his work rate and stamina second to none. Dirrell is a good fighter but is not in Calzaghe's class at all, look at the punches and skill set Dirrell has and compare it to Joe, Joe could throw every punch in the book where as Dirrell is far more one dimensional.

I would say Ward beats him. Dirrell gives him problems. He works over the rest, though.
