I thought that was hilarious too. Don't fight the top fighters in the division because you beat them once before?

Just because you beat someone before doesn't mean you will beat them again. Plenty of fighters have won rematches in the past. That's what is great about this sport, anything can happen.

Froch gives Bute a beating and he thinks he's ended Bute's career lol

Bute can come back and be the greatest of all the super 6. Kessler could beat ward in a rematch.
I remember when Nigel Benn got smashed by Eubank and looked amazing in their rematch. There are so many great match ups to be made in this division. 6 fighters who on any particular night could beat anyone. Ward is the cream of the crop at the moment but he is not invincible like some posters make him out to be.

BTW, I don't think Bute will be the greatest, that was hypothetically speaking. I don't think he is a hype job either though. Exposed? No, just lost to a good fighter.

Dirrell is a different challenge! So I'd have nothing against seeing that fight. Look, whatever, you lot can all watch these rematches with Ward again, but it will be the same result.

The guys been undefeated scince he was 12, an Olympic Gold medalist, 2 time world champion, winner of the super 6 and has virtually cleaned up at super middleweight that is littered with tough, hard, prime talented fighters and he's still got a lot of haters. I don't know what more he could've done at this stage of his career tbh.

Ahhh well, more haters, more money.

Anyone else noticing a pattern? Kessler mentions wanting to fight Ward again, then Ward comes out and asks why Kessler keeps saying that but has yet to actually attempt negotiations. Then about a month later the process repeats.

We're not talking about just beating, Ward nearly shut him out. Why the hell would you wanna see a rematch?

                America.

Ward should return the favour and fight in Denmark. Froch, Bute and Kessler all travel. Ward should do the same.

Ok so you went from Ward never leaves Oakland to Ward never leaves America, not realizing that the distance between Oakland and Atlantic City is twice as long as the distance between Nottingham and Helsinki (the farthest Froch ever traveled).

It's not about distance though is it, it's about travelling on a 12 hour flight to Europe, acclimatising, and then entering the lions den with thousands upon thousands of people roaring against you with a neutral referee & judges.

So far Ward has shown he wants no part of that but is happy for his opponents to go through it time and again. Not cool, not fair and not what a true champion does.
