If all of NSB thinks Bute has always been a hype job,why are you hyping Frochs win?

Russian crushin got it in his first post. The problem i think atreyu lies in these casual fans. Exposed is a word that gets thrown around alot for no reason. If you lose you're exposed. While as other view a loss from a different standpoint and analyze and critique the situation rather than just say onebfighter was never good to begin with. Bottomline fellow posters is that there isnt and will never be a perfect fighter. Everyone has a weakness and its hightime people realize that even superstar athletes are human at the end of the day. I don't believe he was exposed at all, his caliber was already in plain sight. Fact is he was beat down by a high caliber top notch fighter.

Bute is a good fighter, but he's not a great fighter like some made him out to be. The way Froch beat him is what impressed me. He knew he had better skills and still came out at him to knock him out.

I can only speak for myself. I thought Bute was the best at 168 and thought he would beat Froch and it seemed like about 50% of the posters picked Bute to win. So Froch crushed him and I give him credit for a great win.

.....Bute hasnt beat or fought one top fighter @168 so the fact that you has him #2 is laughable. The firt time he actually fights a top guy @168 he gets crushed in 5 rounds....

Bute is a good fighter, that shouldn't be lost in the fact that he isn't as good as his fans thought he was. It's an example of one fighter proving he was better than thought of him, and the other being overhyped.

The manner of victory is what really impressed me. Bute looked like he didn't belong in the same ring as Froch.

It's the fashion in which he destroyed Bute that surprised me. I always thought Bute was a hype job and getting destroyed like he did by a mediocre Froch proved it. This fight doesn't do anything for me but show me Froch isnt a bum. To me Froch moved up from the #5 smw to #4. Ward, Kessler and Andre Dirrell are better than Froch plain and simple. I also think a healthy Anthony Dirrell would beat Froch anywhere in the world outside of Nottingham, England but do to the fact Anthony hasn't fought anybody yet I won't rank him higher than Froch.

good point TS....I've been reading the same stuff....most of the ppl praising Froch drunk the media made kool aid and THOUGHT Froch was gonna get beat...so after the smoke cleared, INSTEAD of feeling tricked and lied to...they feel like they witnessed something special LOL

from day one, I said Bute was garbage and that Froch was gonna merk him...break him and many other words that define destroy!!....so I'm in "TOLD YOU SO" mode....I've been giving Froch his props and I respect what he's about and who he is...the Cobra is a bad boy...nuff respect!!!

I think you've over-egged the percentage. Those claiming Bute is a hype-job are either some Ward fans or some Calzaghe fans with ulterior motives.

Froch said himself Bute hurt him, that it may have looked easy but it wasn't.

Bute will be back.
