  • If all of NSB thinks Bute has always been a hype job,why are you hyping Frochs win?

After reading a few threads and a bunch of posts I believe that over 90% of the people on NSB think that Bute has been exposed, has always been a hype job and that this is Frochs best performance. If this is the case then why is everyone hyping up Frochs victory. If Bute was and is an over rated and protected fighter that has only fought bums then what is so great about the fact that he was defeated by Froch?

Should Froch get credit for beating a guy that nobody ever thought was that good anyway?

Bute beat grampa Johnson (51-16-2). That's his best win. Andrade (30-4-0) knocked him out.

The problem is like other boxers before Bute a lot bought into the hype. The bookies got took for suckers too. Bute isn't the first and will not be the last boxer to have been hyped so badly.

Bute was good and it was a really good win for Froch. I just wanted to see him beat a Top 1-2 SMW before fighting Ward. He had his shot and gut beat down. Still a good win for Froch over a Top SMW, and a fight many thought he was going to lose.

On a side note, Ward-Bute can still happen. All Bute has to do is bounce back and beat some good fighters first, maybe even avenge that loss eventually.

Bute was good? How do you figure? Based off of what Performances?

Johnsons best win is vs a washed up rjj, and wasn't that fight vs Bute at SMW?

Why? Two reasons. For one Froch was written off and an underdog with the bookies. Second, it was a fantastic beatdown, this is what boxing is all about. If this performance didn't tighten your underpants, you are watching the wrong sport my friend.

Any win over an undefeated champion with 9 title defenses is solid. Froch deserves props for beating Bute in the fashion he did.

But it needs to be put in perspective. We still don't know what caliber of fighter Bute is because of his soft resume.

He still beat Sakio Bika, Librado Andrade, Brian Magee, Jean-Paul Mendy, and Glen Johnson.

He didn't have a really really good win, but he has some solid/decent wins, enough to be a Top ranked SMW and enough to deserve a shot to beat one of the top 1-2 SMW's. And he failed badly.

people are just happy for Froch
everybody hates Bute and they're glad he got smoked
people like Froch and are happy he's come back from the Ward loss
Bute is a decent fighter, nothing more
just nice to see a tough guy with heart get a badass KO

                    Every fighter is hyped up

But once they lose, no matter who they beat, they are exposed
