Bute is still a good fighter, he's just too one-dimensional.

Plus, considering the fact Froch was an underdog adds to it. Froch has a likable personality and takes on all comers, these have added to the hype IMO.

Why? Two reasons. For one Froch was written off and an underdog with the bookies. Second, it was a fantastic beatdown, this is what boxing is all about. If this performance didn't tighten your underpants, you are watching the wrong sport my friend.

Any win over an undefeated champion with 9 title defenses is solid. Froch deserves props for beating Bute in the fashion he did.

But it needs to be put in perspective. We still don't know what caliber of fighter Bute is because of his soft resume.
